As the trail nears completion, The Cohos Trail Association is beginning its work on lean-tos, shelters and campsites, all widely spaced along the trail system. These include: There is a great deal of interest in keeping the CT primitive, so that it attacts serious hikers who are well supplied for the long haul. A primitive system would keep the number of people using it down too, ensuring that the trail remains the quiet and solitary experience it is today.
