WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE COHOS TRAIL
There are a number of different ways people have been donating to The Cohos Trail effort. Folks have given of their time on the trail. They have given tools, lumber, hardware, food and water bottles to TCTA to help us during work days. There is a continuing need for materials of all sorts. Many people, from young children to folks in their 60s and 70s, have donated time and sweat to the trail. Your physical effort is extremely important to the trail effort. Your desire to work on the trail is always welcome. If you wish to adopt a trail, click here for a list of trails.
Still others have donated funds so that they can be earmarked for youth organizations in the northern New Hampshire who work hard on the trail. If you wish to donate funds, send a check or money order to Or you can now donate by credit card or PayPal by using the "Donate" button below. If you wish to donate physical materials, please call 603-363-8902 or 603-246-7784 and we will help you get the materials to the proper place. We had an entire heavy-duty lean-to donated to us by Thomas Abbott of Abbott Lumber Company, a New Hampshire saw mill and truck farm.
The Cohos Trail is approximately 855,360 feet long and getting longer. It takes a good deal of effort to keep the trail open and in good condition. Your gift for trail crew support is critical. It helps us employ local young people on the trail. You may donate any amount you wish to help the trail crew and volunteers improve the CT. The association contracts with the skilled young people of the Northeast Kingdom Conservation Corps and contracts with other young contractors to saw through large blowdowns with chainsaws and suppress blackberry and raspberry cane with mechanical weedwhackers. So your donations go to help underwrite jobs for young people and to impact their lives in a real and significant way. When we first initiated the $5.00 Fund Drive, people of every stripe donated dollars, and we raised over $2,500 in no time. We hold the $5.00 Fund Drive once a year, but you may donate to the drive any time of year. Please help us take care of this long trail. Send your gift to:
